PLANT CITY (FOX 13) – A few lights at a Dover home has evolved into a holiday wonderland.
The Florida Strawberry Festival grounds has transformed into the Christmas Lane. It started as a small Christmas display 30 years ago, when a young boy started hanging Christmas lights in front of his childhood home in Dover. Through the years, the few string of lights has transformed into a 1.5-acre winter wonderland and annual community event.
The event grew so large that in 2015, the Christmas Lane had a new home at the Florida Strawberry Festival Grounds, about six miles east of its original location.
Every Thursday through Sunday from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. until Christmas, you can enjoy the beautiful holiday displays, meet Santa Claus, and enjoy festive food and entertainment.
